What van you getting? I tend to prefer flat tanks as it is easier to put reels on top of them out of side doors.
It's a game of three halves!

Flats probably better for wfp.

I have an upright as I need to gravity feed a pw off it

Flat tank would be the safer option but would be more prone to airlocks plus because the water would be sitting on a greater
surface you wouldn't be able to let the water level/quantity drop as low as you could with an upright, for instance parked up on the  pavement or a hill could mean that even though you still have plenty of water it may not be getting to the pump outlet without  having to make more parking manoeuvres.

Flats. Are better just get 2 wedged pieces of timber and put them under the tank causing the water to gravitate towards the outlet.

I have a 500 litre upright tank fitted by The Cleaning Warehouse in my 11 plate Expert van. Haven't experienced any problems in the 18 months that I've had it!
