cant find post/ but here we are
« on: October 26, 2016, 02:29:19 pm »
I cannot find the post now, or should i say too busy to go searching thru them all to find it.
I mentioned i cleaned a house for £25 and was wondering about increasing the price.

Someone asked where my van was n equipment to ahow i cleaned it. (Think they were havin a jibe at someone else, but could be wrong). I said when im next there i will retake the photo. Since im a man of my word, this is that new photo.
(Sorry tho as its pointless, but hey ho)

(For ones who will comment on van sign....it pays to double check when ordering. Mine is a magnetized sign from signs4vans. Sadly i clicked on wrong size, i wanted it to fit on back side panal and this one overlaps onto side door. But till i can justify scrapping and reordering, i am making do. The 2nd photo is of a small sign on back of van (i had a person tailgate me to local shops, just to ask if i do free quotes on washing drives. Obviously she was driving and couldnt write down number at same time.)

I think you undercut yerself a wee bit on that one. I'm betting they snapped your hand off too  ::)roll
The way I look at it's in effect 2 bay fronted semi's so has got to be worth at least 18 per semi = 36 squid at least to make it worth your while.  That's without knowing what's around the sides and back.

Anyhow what you decide to charge is down to you as there is no right or wrong price.

Try £2 a window and see where it comes out. Adjust accordingly.

Saying that, looking at the front only I would say between £15/£17

£2 a window! Where do you live?
There is absolutely no way you would get £2 a window round here.
If you can get those sort of prices, tell me where you live,
I'll start selling up and move house, get away from the dole boys doing 3 - 4 bed detached for £6!

Well that photo really doesn't tell us much.

Exactly what i said in my post. Im not asking peoples opinions on price of windows etc. That was done on another post which i couldnt locate, and i posted a picture of front n back of the house in question. But somebody found fault that my van or prove of me doing the house and so i said i would post the pic they wanted. But since i cant find (be bothered to search pages of posts) the post, i posted it fresh.
Like i said, pointless but hey ho, i kept my word n posted the photo.

Nathan, maybe you're taking this all to seriously? You really posted a picture to prove you where there, not like it really matters. And then spent the rest of the post justifying your stickers, not like it really matters !!!!   ;D

And there's me thinking i might just be the only obsessive nut on here !!!!

Correct.
It was me that made the joke and I believed the OP anyway.
Still, he's too busy to find the original thread but then starts another.
Calm down, lad.

why hump the reel out on every job?its easier to have a fixed reel in the van ive found over the years.

as for charging £25 for that property it seems a bit low for the size of it but we  all underprice/overcharge different jobs from time to time. ;D
price higher/work harder!

All sounds a bit fishy to me.

The signs were probably stuck on that van while the real window cleaner was round the back hence why they don't "fit"

Well spotted, and he has stuck a bin liner over the real shiners name.

Nathan I thought you were asking advice on pricing that property as you said you were thinking of upping the price hence my reply.

As for the van etc in the pic its irrelevant what people say or think as it earns you money all the same. Just ignore the silly comments is what I would do as they are only trying to wind you up again the little devils  ;D

Speaking of which when I'm at a property some customers have been known to get into a bit of a flap when their regular window cleaner decides to turn up too.  ;D

I've even had a window cleaner afterwards phone me up out of the blue  to say what a brilliant job I did and wanted to know how I did it. :P
