My good deed of the day
« on: October 11, 2016, 11:51:18 pm »
Went to see an old lady that could see plants growing out of an awkard to get side small gutter run and  out of the downspout too. Turns out a young lad knocked on her door last month and he so say cleared all the gutters out on that 3 bed property for 35 squid.

When I checked the rest of the gutters as well all I can say he did not do a very good job. That really peed me off  him taking advantage of an old lady like that so I said don't worry about the cost I will clear the blockage for free whilst I'm here.

That was my good deed for the day as the old girl reminded so much of my late mum. She insisted on giving me a fiver for doing it... Bless her. As the property is surrounded by trees she wants me to come back after the leaves have fallen and will then pay me my going rate to do it properly again for her unlike the other chap that seems to have ripped her off.

Life is not all about making money at times don't you think?

Not only is doing a good deed warming to your own heart, it always gets rewarded.
In thus case, a repeat customer.
However did you tell her to check her shed as he might be keeping his equioment in it whilst billing her for his water production  ;D

I don't think the chaps ladder would fit in her shed but maybe I should ask as the old girl has a garage too  ;D
