Hi Alan,

You would be the best one to know what your keywords are, on every page of your website you will have meta tags and a description. Meta tags simply explain to browsers and search engines what the page is about so it can understand, however meta tags are very old hat and sometimes referred to as fossils, it's good to get them in there but they don't hold too much weight. I'm sure the only search engines that checks these currently is Microsoft Bing however don't quote me on that. Make sure your meta description tags are in there also, a short sentence on what the website is about.

Your title tags are important and what a lot of search engines look at for a short description of the page, different title tags throughout your website for different pages will help here also rather than being repetitive. The keywords people search for on Google are what match up with the blue linked words (page titles) on the results. Titles must start with the most important keyword followed by the second most important, but make sure they make sense to people reading them - for example "Window Cleaning Wimbledon | Johns Window Cleaners".

The content of your pages is very important, make sure all your keywords are on every page near the top, Google will check the title tags as well as the content to see if what the user is searching for matches your site.

There is a limit to the length of the tags that you should use - and this seems to be a BIG issue on your site. Your meta keywords tag (at least on the page I checked) is about 3 pages long, where it should be less than 30 words usually!

You also have some issues with page URL's being a bit strange.

My advice would be to ditch the TSO sitebuilder system, install wordpress & rebuild your site in there (Simple enough to copy & paste your content over - you'd do it in an afternoon) and use the "Yoast SEO" plugin which will guide you through optimising each page step by step.

Thanks Nat, at some point I just added more to meta tags or something.
Is this something you offer and if so what would the cost be. I'm currently off with an injury so I should be doing something productive!

Sorry Alan, I don't do stand-alone SEO work like this,... mostly because meta tags etc are such a small part of SEO these days (Its all about high quality, unique content) - but also because I find the "Sitebuilder" type interfaces very restrictive.

Upgrade to wordpress while you've some free time, its well worth the effort.
