What would be a suitable one for all solution IE can be used on wool ,  polyprop & anything in between

There's no such thing, every job is different (fiber, level and type of soiling etc.).

Seriously; the pre sprays are all so cheap, you need to have a few different ones for all of the different fibres and conditions that you will come across.

Are you talking about prespray or In tank detergent?

If you do want just one product then you would need to use what's suitable for the  most damage prone  carpet or fabric,  so a neutral ph like prespray gold & liquid woolsafe ( both by   Prochem)

Or any neutral chemical, but why? Just carry a selection

Spitfire Advanced from Research Products

Up and Out from Research Products

Liquid woolsafe from prochem is surprisingly good.

Liquid high heat from chemspec is also good.

All those products are good for almost anything (there are always exceptions)
