hi robert i use an ecotemp L10 from corwoods(it comes with gas regulator).a  13kg gas bottle and car radiator hose from hot outlet to reel.

IMO the L10 is much better(and bigger!)than an L5 and ive had no problems with pressure building up and blowing connectors/hoses etc.

i  leave one back door open when in use(its fitted just inside the back of the van).

just make sure you have a good sturdy all metal reel and good tight connectors and hoses that can handle the hot water.

when changing gas bottles always spray new connections with a soapy solution then turn the gas on.if you see any bubbles appear DO NOT USE!refit the connector until no bubbles are present and then your good to go. ;)
price higher/work harder!

Probably better to use leak detector spray
"oil based solutions, or those containing fatty acids, can ignite if they come in contact with oxygen.  For this reason soapy water or washing up liquid must not be used"

Robert, I've got the crowds one but used it 2 winter's ago and not used it since.
I'm not going to use it this winter and then i'm getting a whole new motor and system and gonna put an immersion in the new one.
This Corwoods one is sat in my garage loft.
It's in pretty good nick.
You're welcome to it if you want it.
You'll need the propane bottle for it though as i use that on my BBQ
Let me know if you do.

All the best, Darren

Pole King is a top man , he is going to send me his old l5 to try  :)

Dazmond , did you just jubilee clip the radiator hose in place ?
