Done it the past worked ok, but dont leave it to them. many companies will have lots of points of contact. you just have to think about them. from dropping leaflets in their area regular, calling to see if they need top up for their spotter. reminder once a year, not going to give all mine away but you get the idea -)
Lots of the guys on here go down the road of providing lots of different cleaning services. this works well as a customer willl need one type of service or another doing at some point in a year.
when i was getting Dan Kennedy newsletter those guys had it up to about 70 contact points. I think that a bit much but you do what to be in the front of their eyes when they need the services you provide. BTW lots of those contacts where emails.
There are some interesting studies that say that the longer they dont see your name you lose a percentage of that loyalty.
its also interesting that its proven the the cost of marketing to past customers is much cheaper than finding new ones. this also plays into finding new customer with remarketing, they click on your site and they see your adverts everywhere they go on the internet. how cool
Good luck
