I attended a training course for webuyanycar employees. It's basically thievery, often from the vulnerable at their lowest (i.e. selling a dead family members car). No effing way I'd ever sell anything to them.

The valuation you've been given is for perfect condition + anything you've declared, the point of the training course I attended was to show employees how to drive that price as low as possible.

Once they buy your vehicle its punted into an auction and sold at a profit. Cut out the middle man and sell it at the auction.

They have their uses. I know of vehicles sold through them at prices that the owners couldn't have bettered if they'd advertised themselves - conversely one of the Capri Power members was offered £150 for his 1986 280 Capri...which he then sold privately for £10,000...

Used them for a valuation only. A few years back they valued my Doblo at £1575! My local garage offered me £2750 for it to use as their runaround. (I would have accepted £3000 but decided to hang on to it) Parkers were giving it a value of about £3300 at the time.

A year later I sold it to Dan the Man for £2500 but he's family and he paid me in 10 monthly instalments on a private arrangement.

So like Darren I reckon they offer about half the private resale value.

I took a 2 year old Doblo Maxi to them, from the online valuation they tried to deduct £160 for a cracked wheeltrim ( got a new one from fleabay for £20 ) and £350 for a small scratch on the roof.

No not nessesarilly,  found a nice Hilux today, I could kit it out fairly easily. I do like it.  The van is too good to sell almost. Would be a brilliant one for my employees.

I bought a new car last month.
Wondered on the price of the old one.
Got offered £11k on we buy any car.
Had offers of £16k, actually went at £16,250cash

They offer you say 25% less than your car is worth .
They offered me £7,000 , then a week later they sent a email saying £7,500 .

I got £8,000 for it  on my trade in at the garage .

In early sold it for £8,300 privately but the 2 potential buyers let  me down .

They do rob persons , but there aim is to make money , that's what they do

I sold a Jag with a couple of serious faults to them (auto transmission noise where just removing it to inspect it was going to cost a couple of thousand and a central locking sender fault where the new part was £1,200 or £1,600, can't remember).

They didn't haggle down on price at all - the guy said that as it was a ten year old car they'd expect the paintwork to be less than perfect so they only deduct for major marks.

Quick pleasant experience, nice to deal with, had the cash immediately for a car I'd have had a great deal of trouble selling privately.

I wouldn't use them to sell a car I could sell privately but in the right circumstances they are a good last resort option.

I've used hem before.

A seat Leon with a dpf "intermittent" fault.

I didn't want to sell private in case it came back to bite me in the bum. (Car was running fine but it worries me how long for).

I got £4800 for it (7 year old Leon ft tdi) and they didn't haggle price down at all. I reckon i could have got £5,500 selling it privately, but not a major loss.

Webuyanycar can have their uses sometimes.
