I am looking for self-employed canvassers anywhere in the south.

i recommend you advertise for your own canvassers online. in my [humble] experience you get much better work with people who have not canvassed for window cleaning before...

I use the direct gov website myself. Has always attracted plenty of applicants

i've always done PAYE. min wage plus 50% of first clean commission. had a team of 8 at one point

haven;t used canvassers for a while though and now drop flyers for work as it's more hassle free
