A squirt of TFR on the brush and it eats through the mould on the frames.

I tried it on some frames and cills that have greyed and it doesn't make much difference.

My diesel heater packed up Daz and I can't be arsed to repair it at over £400 a pop for just a service. Been think of converting to a cheap gas heater as they're far more economical and only £60 to replace the whole unit.

Not tried Ubik Alan. Any good?

I know diesel heaters are not cheap to sort out when they go wrong for sure Lance as that is what put me off buying one in the first place.

Ubic 2000 is a very concentrated alkaline cleaner and is very good on cleaning plastics agmost other things. Just don't mix it too strong as can turn the plastic yellow or if left to dry on the glass will stain it.

Apart from that it's great ;D

If you want to try some it's about £7 for 5 litres that you can arrange to pickup from a supplier called Mayflower that have a local branch in Swindon. Just give their headoffice a call to sort this out for you as they don't normaly deal with walk in trade so once shorted you will need to pay by cash when you go to pick it up.

Ubic 2000 is made by cloverchems http://www.cloverchem.co.uk/2013/uk/product_detail.asp?prod_code=%27301%27&range_sub=%277%27

You can either spray it on the brush head, use a sparyer and/or use a scrub pad on a pole for awkward hard to reach plastics.
Best not to use it if there is self cleaning glass about though.

May also not remove tough to clean tiger stripes  or water stained plastics.

Ive used TFR to remove kitchen cooking fat from the outsides of windows. Occasionally it needs a double application, can be quite a remarkable contrast.

Is TFR also alkaline based then?

Is TFR also alkaline based then?

In the ph scale below 5 is acidic above 8 is alkaline

Neutral ph cleaner are in the range of 6-7 usually.

Ubic 2000 and most other cleaners are alkaline. After saying that some TRF's are caustic so are not ideal to go spraying on the likes of plastics or glass.  Like most chems you should not allow them to dry on surfaces especially glass. Acid based cleaners will etch glass straight away as some have found out to their cost doing acid washes on buildings.

Safest type chems to use is Neutral ph cleaners.
