Hi Kevin

I have a floor care company, comprising of Stonecare, wood and carpet.........This I do with another guy whom also has the same...........We are thinking of increasing the business, hopefully with commercial work, but residential won't be turned away. Obviously everyone has floors in every building..........We can offer one off and regular maintenance........We can manage a lot more work between us and can employ more people if needed.
Someone I know was a salesman in England, then Italy and is now back in England..........he has a good track record, although not if this type of business.
Probably the best option would be to have him getting leads for myself or the other guy to hopefully close on.
Not sure of a package to offer him though.
He's 24 yrs old

Thanks

First thing I would do is ask him what he wants as a starter for 10 he may say something  totally ridiculous and it may end there!  Or he maybe so cheap he is worth a punt!  Once I got that info out of him,  I personally would probably  start him on a basic plus % sliding scale commission?  There are however, so many variables !  You see, ultimately it is what you want from him if he brings you £20K a month extra he is probably worth a fortune to you but if you sort a basic wage, supply a car, insurance and fuel and he brings you a £1K a month what is he worth then?  It's a tough one without knowing more

Sales men are used to being in a results situation. Agents work on usually 10% which is probably a good rate as he really has no overheads, if he is supplying leads. If you got £20,00 in a month you would be happy to pay him the £2000 surely?
Starts at the bottom likes it and stays there
