I had the PF Isothermal 1 and IMO it was a big waste of time and money. The water did not get that hot and it ate batteries.

Very good I've had mine for about 7 years no problems at all I've never needed to have it look at and I use it everyday summer and winter,it uses about £20s worth of diesel every 3 weeks or so. Very reliable and easy to use it comes with a froststat as well so you just plug into the tank on cold nights and comes on to circulate the water back into the tank to stop everything freezing, you unlocked the van on a winters morning and the hoses are all supple and ready for work.

You need to do miles with it split charged I do at least 20 miles to work every day so it gets a good charge and I use a 115amp battery and it has been better with that although I did change the fuses as they were old and were stopping it from charging efficiently. Some people on here will know but if I turn it on and then drive to work it charges better although it is split charged anyway it puts more into the battery when it's on,if you buy one you won't be disappointed

How often do you get that webasto heater serviced as I know they can be very expensive to sort out when they start playing up going by what others have said?

Is it the Thermo Top C diesel heater they use (5kw) or the 90S (9.1kw)?

I found on a test bench the Thermo Top C was only able to provide enough heat to raise the water temp from 9 degrees to 35 degrees (at the brush head)  running a water flow of 1.5LPM.

If I paused, like I was moving around the house, the heater did increase the temperature in the internal heating circuit but the heat was soon lost when I turned the tap on again.

The Maths told me that heating water from 9 degrees to 35 degrees at a flow rate of 1.5 LPM took 2.65kw. I guess the remainder was lost through the exhaust and the internal heat exchangers etc.

The 8 litre gas heaters that are popular are rated at 16kw by comparison.
