I find it amazing that with a philosophy of continuously teaching others never to buy cheap!  I am still stupid enough to sometimes do it myself.  The other week I bought two small pieces of equipment that cost around £12 each.  It doesn't really matter what they are but I said to my son the other day why aren't they working?  He looked at me flicked his eyes in the air and simply said" because they are cheap rubbish and they are crap"!  I looked at them, decided he as right and went on the internet to purchase two new ones with a 2 year guarantee!  They cost me nearly £50 each just over quadruple of what I paid originally but my point is, the saying of " Buy cheap, pay twice"  is so so true and I might as well set fire to the first £24
