Yours thoughts on this please.
I have a 08 plate vivaro with 600lt RODI system fitted. I was thinking of getting a pickup crewcab truck and having a portable system with barrels,
Is it practical to have a static system  { remove the van system and use that } or buy in the water. The reason for the vehicle change lack of parking space for 2 vehicles and more family space in a pickup.

Yes, the van system will work perfectly well as a static setup, however I think you will regret the change of a van mounted tank and system to using barrels, it's more demanding on the body and a lot slower in terms of work time. Try to keep a van mounted setup in the rear of the pickup

Get a setup where it demands as little work as possible. I open back door, push hose pipe on and take off when I feel like it. DONE!!!

Yeah I wouldn't advise going from a tank to barrels , you will really physically feel it at the end of the day lugging barrels about, time consuming as you'll have to keep an eye out for the water finishing in each barrel , this could be when your at the back of a house and you only realise when the water stops and you've got to waste another 10 mins trying to get rid of the airlock . Like Duncan said, might be an idea to get a 7 seater van or similar

Sorry not understanding why you think you need barrels in a pick up ? I have a ford ranger super cab with a hard top. A truck mounted 500 L tank , reel, pump, pole, backpack etc. And room left over.

Look back through my posts Andy, sorry not by computer at home just now  only have a crappy phone with me but I'm sure I posted some pics up. I will repost some pics when I can if it helps ? I made a very simple diy pump box that houses battery, pump and controller all in an old toolbox, everything quick release and had a custom tank made to fit space between wheel arches exactly - no need for a cage or any permanent fixture other than a heavy duty ratchet strap - cost only a little more than an off the shelf tank ! I'm very happy with it and would now never go back to a van

I've seen Barry's set up and as soon as I can get around to it, I'll be doing exactly the same. It's got the same advantages as a van plus it seats 4 people.

They are good but it depends on what types of work you do. If it WFP work week in week out then you can't go wrong, if like a lot of folks your window cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure cleaning then you'll probably struggle to a fit everything into a lot of vehicles. Lifting 20/25l containers in and out all day is only going to give you RSI. I've got backpacks and containers sitting there but it almost seems as pointless to use them as it dose using trad on the bottoms.
