I have WorldPay coming this afternoon to talk to me ( try and sell me) a card facility , I will compare their prices to this and also compare them to payatraders prices for a machine.

Is there any point in having a contactless terminal?  they have a maximum spend of £30

I have emailed them prior to Jasonl post where he provided more detiails. I bet if I'll contact above phone number I may get better deal...  At present, please see below;

Desktop terminal £19.95 +VAT
Portable Terminal £22.95 +VAT
Mobile Terminal £20.95 +VAT (£4 for roaming sim card)

Credit cards 1.2%
Debit cards  14p
Visa debit cards 0.275% + 5p (based on a £10 transaction this would cost 7p)

PCI fee £3.95
Authorisation fee 3.5p
Terminal Rolls £18 for 20

World pay cost:
£25+vat rental 18 month contract
Credit cards 1.9%
Debit cards 0.65%

Transaction fee 4p

Worked out I would pay £40 a month if every cheque I  recieved  used a card instead.

I would save £12 a month bank charges as I would'nt pay to deposit  cheques.

They have a 'world pay club' which gives discounts on shopping, cinema tickets etc..etc..etc  we shop at Morrisons if we used this we would save £22 a month on our shopping, you save  £3 on cinema tickets which we would use twice a month.

If we use thier fuel card we would save more money that the monthly costs of using their facilities.

I'm going to compare their rates to others and see how it looks

Hi Mike

I have got mine for

0.9% Credit cards

0.25% + 1p Debit cards

£18.95 rental + VAT for a mobile terminal

4p per transaction authorisation fee.

PCI £4.95 p/m

3 year contract but if you are a sole trader you can leave the contract after 18 months.

The rep is a friend of mine, hence the cheaper rate! PM me if you wanted any further details.

Hi do any of these have a minimum monthly spend as I used to have a Barclays mobile terminal but it was costing me £58.00 per month even if I never used it so I cancelled it once my contract had run its term
Thanks
