Hose ports

What your opinion guys on van ports in or out of the van. I currently have them in the van with the hose but was concidering having them installed outside the van. Basically trying to work out if it's going to make the job any easier. I'm about to purchase a power hose reel this week. Would this make a difference. ??
Cheers

Having fixed reels outside ports are a total waste of time, I would have thought this was the same for a power reel.
When I has external ports they were subject to freezing, covered in road dirt and on one occasion broke because they didn't clear a kerb ( so I'm totally unbiased about the subject
