Chemspec Stainshield
« on: January 28, 2016, 10:15:43 pm »
Have been using Nano protect (solutions)for a number of year have now moved over to chemspec stainshield.

Ordered of John Kelly good service as usual from restormate.

Have to works out new dilutions etc and change some of our marketing.

We have also ordered a IK9 sprayer have a couple of them already can fault them one of the best out there.

Some sprayers out there are so cheap and tacky that break easily and don't last.

Also have put an order in yesterday to dry fusion (cleaner warehouse) another good company to deal with particularly  like their coffee break.

We tend to use a mix of different products finding the ones that work best for us.

The ik9 sprayer is the worst I've ever owned

There's better out there

Recently ive bought 2 Orion pump up sprayers. They are the best I have used and wish I had bought them years ago.

Always a good service from Mr Kelly  :), I have a K9 happy with it , but I've never had a Gloria sprayer or the like so I can only compare it to the cheaper end of the market.  I usually like Chemspec products, but Stainshield  leaves the carpets quite wet, application rate of 1 litre to 5 meters of carpet, compared to 1 litre to 15 meters of carpet for Guard-X (cleansmart), but I'm about to try Complete Guard, (Hydramaster product from carpetcleanersworld) because it goes down at 29 meters to 1 litre!

I don't know about dilution rates but surely it makes sense to just go for the best one .

That's not dilution rates.  It is about how wet it leaves the carpet, how much product you should spray down when mixed according to directions and applied to average tufted carpet.  Wet carpets = unhappy customers.

Spraying down 1 litre of mixed product to cover 5 metres of carpet is going to leave the carpet far wetter than putting down  1 litre to cover 15 metres of carpet.

But chemspec know this and still insist you use so much that it leaves the carpet wet, if that's how much it takes so the full depth of the fibre is coated in protector then that's how much you have to use.

You could apply 100mls on a full living room and have it dry in 30 mins but I doubt it would be very protected.

Exactly, but for Guard-X to work the carpet needs less saturation, for Complete Guard even saturation.

That is why Stainshield is one of the few chemspec products I don't like, I can provide the same protection for carpets and have quicker drying time by using just about any other protector.
