Why would you want to call yourself that??

Where you are from

What is different about you

He worst name you can choice is  letters..." I'm from  HPCC"............ who????.

If i was starting again I would probably go for something that psychologically puts value in the mind of the customer, like Diamond Cleaning Services, Kensington Carpet Care,  Park Lane Carpet Cleaning etc

These sort of names gives a subliminal message that you are top quality.......IMHO

Terrible name IMHO.  Sounds like you are going to pressure sell them.  Your business name should equte to what you do and where your from and possibly part or all your name.  In order to make suggestions i would want to know

Full Name
Where you live
Area
Your Skills
What your offering
"Natural Stone Restoration Specialists" Tel: 0121 773 9129

Agree with the guys, the name gives totally the wrong impression. You need to think along the line of the services you are offering. Customers need to feel that you are professional and not think you are going to jet wash their carpets.
Good luck

There are so many companies out there where people have just used their own initials in the company name, i.e. PT electrical services or LM carpet cleaning.
To me, this has "one man band" written all over it.
Think big, i.e, Swindon Carpet Care or Wiltshire Carpet Care or something similar.

"A one man band" can be an attractive thing to a customer looking for a local, reliable, high quality service. I think sometimes we as business people put too much importance on looking like big companies when customer quite often want a local tradesman.

I would call it Andre Buckley Carpet Cleaning or.... Andre Buckley Specialist Cleaning or Andre Buckley Floor Care or something else along  those lines. If you turn in to a multi national franchise in the future you can re brand to something more general however consider one of the largest franchises in the world .. the Jim group started by Jim Penman of Jim's mowing.

How about "HD Cleaning Services" (if you come York, Bolton etc), then have it as "HD Cleaning Services Bolton"!

HD for high definition.

Maybe it's just me but "one man band" conjures up an image of a bloke turning up in a knackered ford focus estate, dressed in tee shirt, trainers and track suit bottoms and getting a Karcher Puzzi out ready to start work.

Its the tag line thats really gives the image that your looking for if you think of this first then work back to a name, so mine ia Ian Harper Carpet Cleaning, with a tag line "The More Carpets You Have Cleaned The Cheaper Each Carpet Becomes"

If you look at any marketing by  big business they will have a tag line, its like a mini mission statement.

Isn't a tagline sopposed to be short and catchy? ;D

Eg:  The more we clean......the less you pay!

My tagline is......Go away you  poverty  stricken low life, I don't clean for less than £150 an hr"

it's still a work in progress,   needs to be a bit more snappy 8)

crikey Anthony,

That sounds like the chimney sweep that came to mine this morning.

He had half his breakfast in his beard as well which was pleasant.

£55 for 25 mins work though.......

Does a one man band have to be unprofessional? Its a choice..

I would wager a guess that the vast majority of carpet cleaners who make a good living are 1 man bands with maybe a part time helper driving a van which is sign written operating with a high end portable or small truckmount within 20 miles of their home using their home as an office.

90% of what people say and think about business on here is all ego the other 10% are earning a realistic amount of money. Local business is about local people dealing with local people, not faceless entities dealing with lists of prospects. Delivering a good quality service and being trustworthy individual is the start of it all.
