What do people use? The plastic outlet two piece fitting they come with are cr@p. Does anyone have a link to a brass one or at least better than the plastic ones. I had one pop out today and once they go, they never seal again.

Screw the female end onto pump, take the nut and olive of the other end and a male hoselock fitting will fit. Mine never leak..

The other week I needed an outlet for pumps and needed them there an then, scratched me head coz no we're had anything.

I have now got quite a few plastic spares but on that particular day I didn't.

On an external garden ta say, you have the screw thread that most of us put a tap nipple on, but u can also buy one that is the hose pushes onto rather the having a connection, use a dubilee clip, it comes with a reducer and fits perfect onto the shurflo pump

If you don't understand wot I mean al go get one out the van an post pic, these can be picked up from any diy store

It's not the screw fitting that's the problem. It's the bit where the hose clips on. It has a tendency to "slip" out of the screw fitting that screws onto the pump. It basically pops out. What it needs is to be a single piece rather than two. Does that make sense?

I think a jubilee clip is preferable though to a hose lock fitting. That's the only thing.

Yes mate or 15mm plastic pipe. Normal hose can be heated up in hot water and pushed over the pipe..

Use the jg thread onto the pump then plastic 15mm plastic pluming pipe to where you want to go then use another jg threaded fitting in that thread either screw in a hozelock male fitting so you can then use standard hose to the reel or an inline tap and with thread and/or barbed stem or hozelock fitting
