citroen dispatch vs transit connect 500ltr tank
« on: December 17, 2015, 03:44:37 pm »
Hi all,

Just had my new dispatch written off and need to buy again, i felt that it was a bit cheap feeling and plasticy compared to my big sized transits and was wondering if i should buy a transit connect instead.

Will it be a tight fit with a 500ltr upright tank in a connect?

Will the connect feel like a more robust nicer drive (like its big brother the transit)?

What do you lot reckon?

500L in a new connect  :D wait until you try and reverse. Cancelled my order after reading horror stories of clutches going.

My custom doesn't like reversing with weight.

I have 10 year old 2.0hdi dispatch with 600l custom made tank. I find it very nice to drive. Would be surprised if the connect drove better than the 2.0hdi.

are the new connects smaller than the T230s damo?ive seen a few about and they look smaller than mine?my payload is 900kg and a nice size inside.

when did they start producing the newer connect vans? as ill probably buy another older one when this ones had it.ive seen the old shape up to 2010.not sure what year the new ones started rolling off the production line.

I had the older shape Dispatch - brilliant van for wfp 2lhdi engine and twin sliding doors went like stink. Got a feeling it was 140bhp but I forget now.

Yes. I have had mine from new. Never lost a days work in 10 years due to van problems. Hope to keep it a few more years then will probably end up getting the new shape 2.0 hdi.
