TM to Portable!?
« on: December 20, 2015, 04:52:51 pm »
Has anyone on here done this, switched from Truck Mount to Portable? Or do you know anyone who has. If you have, why and how do you and your customers find the difference. Are the results,  the same, better or worse. Is the job harder/easier?
I am not thinking myself of making the switch, however after doing a couple of small jobs with my new backup Portable and being impressed with the results, speed and quick drying, I wondered if anyone had committed to making the change.

Van mounted.  It's just easier as I have a submersible pump in a baffled tank for auto fill and auto dump. Most jobs 75ft Max so no problem.

We run truckmounts and portables and switch from one to the other depending who's doing what.

From a customers point of view, most are not fussed what we use as long as we do a good job.....

The main benefit of a tm is to the operator in my opinion, I'd sooner use a tm but dont think the business would suffer if I didnt have one...
