John - you have loads of good comments and some great posts showing your boosters and stuff, i just think sometimes your suggestions may not be good for someone new to the industry - i think fiddling and tweaking comes later down the line  ;)

A common problen on Steampros is the foam baffling in the exhaust tube collapses blocking the outlet.  This causes the vacs to overheat.
This is the channel on the bottom of the machine where the vac motors exhaust into. If so the foam just need re-gluing to the sides or taken out which does make it a bit noisier.
