The ‘family friendly’ cleaning event - a big hit again this year!On September 12th the National Carpet Cleaners Association (NCCA) held their fifth Carpet Cleaners Carnival at Wicksteed Park in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
Launched in 2011, and held annually since, the Carpet Cleaners Carnival (CCC) has proved extremely popular with both Association members and other companies within the cleaning industry. A family friendly event, it brings together business and pleasure providing visitors with the perfect opportunity to take a break from work whilst remaining fully up-to-date with the industry.
Open to everyone and free to attend, the Carnival was a huge success again this year - attracting cleaning companies from all corners of the UK!
The event included an exhibition featuring big-name manufacturers and suppliers who were promoting the very latest equipment and offering the chance for hands-on testing, allowing visitors the rare opportunity to get up-close with a variety of different machines and to compare various systems
Throughout the day there was a continuous stream of people to each of the stands and exhibitors were reported to be delighted with how busy they were and the contacts they made at the Show.
Exhibitor Dave Wheadon, of Textile Cleaning Solutions, says “It was a brilliant event. We had an excellent day with great sales/enquires… at record levels for us!”
Shaun Bradbury, of Dry Fusion UK, had an equally good day exhibiting at the CCC this year and says “A big ‘thank you’ to everyone involved in organising the Carnival. It was a great Show with both old and new customers attending. We made an excellent number of sales on the day and some very good new contacts. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year.”
The 2015 Carnival also included a seminar programme, held alongside the exhibition throughout the day, and this year the spotlight was very much on marketing. Feedback from visitors last year indicated that they would like more information on sales and marketing at future events and, in respect of this, the first three seminars which ran at the CCC this year were organised to form a comprehensive and fully integrated marketing programme.
For those who wanted to expand on their carpet and upholstery cleaning skills there was also the opportunity to attend a technical seminar, hosted by industry expert Paul Pearce, on how to clean luxury carpets and soft furnishings… an area which many people struggle with.
The Carnival was again pleased to support the charity Kirsty’s kids. NCCA Member John Bryden, who runs the charity in honour of his daughter Kirsty and her work to help sick and underprivileged children, wrote to express his gratitude for the assistance he received in fundraising on the day and says that with everyone’s help he was able to raise an incredible £1,173!
