Looking to buy a gutter vac and decided on the sky vac, can anyone tell me if the camera is as good as the 500 price tag suggests?

We use a clx 27 pole with a clamp on the end for the camera.  We use a two person aproach, I do the cleaning while she does the inspection with the pole, and veiws on a tablet.              I found that if you fitted the camera to the gutter pole, the image was very shaky, and ran the risk of damaging the camera.           There are loads of deals at the moment with the Gopro as they just brought   a new model out, so the older model is a lot cheaper  ;D

Plus if you are into your outdoor sports, you can use the camera to film your parachute jump  ;D

If you are using a tablet to veiw the footage, make sure you buy a heavy duty waterproof case to protect it  ;)

I use a gopro too and use it on my own whilst gutter clearing...
Clamps onto the gttervac pole so I can see what I'm doing in real time no probs.
Regarding reduceing damage to the gopro case I have it in in a silicon boot that works a treat.
Mind you I did have to cut the boot down a wee bit as I use a larger case to accomadate the lcd touch screen.

Don't use the camera that much now, only comes out when you get the awkward down pipes/swan necks.

I also use either a cheapo armband phone holder for the phone mounted on my wrist or pole.
Or use a cheapo handlebar phone case that can be used clamped to a stripped down wfp for quote inspection work or use it on the landyard instead

I use the gopro all the time especially on quotes as wins me loads of work doing gutter/roof valley surveys.
I just wizz around with the camera set to record then can see how bad they are and any issues/trouble shoot blockages so can give a more accurate quote.

The lcd touch screen makes it easy to play back and show customers either the vid or still images  without having to faff about having a phone connected to the camera too.

Only problem we find using a tablet is it is very dark image, so you have to be doubly sure the down pipe is clear.         Started using a narrow pipe 38mm to go down the down pipe.

I'm using a gopro hero 3+ silver with lcd touch screen with an old iphone 3gs no probs.
The gopro app should work with andriod phones too apparently but I've never needed to try myself.
I suppose it's just a matter of downloading the gopro app suitable for the type of gopro & phone you are using at the time.
