Carpet cleaning training
« on: August 13, 2015, 03:43:02 pm »
Hi. Guys
I run a cleaning buisness and always like to do a professional  job
I've recently got a few commercial carpet cleaning enquiries.
At the moment I've got the Numatic CDT 900-2 machines which is ok for end of tenancy cleans.
Can you recommend a good carpet cleaning course as I no professional carpet cleaning is a specialist. Trade
And there is a lot to learn.
Also  a good carpet cleaner for a professional standard of clean.
Many thanks

Hello,

We offer a hands on Carpet Cleaning school which is a great place to start, you can call me on 01763 208222 for more info.

I noticed you are based in Cornwall.  There is a company called World of Clean (most people on here know them as Solutions), i'm not sure what training they offer but they will obviously be a lot closer for you.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

The right machine for you will depend on what your plans are.  I've attached a guide on what you need to think about when choosing and an overview of our portables. If you have any questions, give me a call.

A word of caution, i went on a solutions training course a long time ago and the training was all based on using solutions own products, i suspect it might still be the same now though i do not know this as a fact.

I have done training at alltec , ncca, cleansmart, and ashbys, all were unbiased and none pushed their own products.

If you train at alltec you get paul pearce a man that knows absolutely everything about all things carpets, rugs and upholstery. if you go to cleansmart you get derek bolton a man who is also very knowledgeable in our field.

If it is purely commercial carpet cleaning that you are interested in I can recommend the course run by Alltec , it is a two day course and endorsed by the IICRC which  you can join if you want having passed their exam.
I did it earlier this year and it is a great course which covers a multitude of things including marketing and equipment needed, It isn't all about  HWE .
Not sure when the next one is but I think last year it was in October, I am sure Karra will advise.
Hope this helps

What machines where used at Alltec, Cleansmart and Ashby's on their courses ??? I've done prochem and cleansmart and products are pushed. More so at prochem I may add but even at cleansmart their products and machines are mentioned and used on the course. Every Manufacturer/supplier runs courses to sell products and make money that's business.

Swanson I would suggest do the Solution course first(then Alltec/Ashbys/Prochem etc)  as nearest and try to develop good working relationship with someone close especially as you  are cornwall based(work out the travelling times to and fro suppliers). As the machine you are using is  a machine I used to hire out to clients which did a good job.Any supplier will be able to supply you with a vastly improved machine  or ask on here if anyone has a good secondhand one they can sell you...........Regards Alan(Swindon)

when i said products were not pushed i meant chems. you wouldn't really expect alltec to use a Jaguar or cleansmart to use a ninja would you ?

To be fair you wouldnt expect anyone running a course not to promote their products. Cornwall is a long way from Alltec so if you were just getting into Gen carpet cleaning then I would suggest the Solutions course which is taken by Ken Wienwright who used to be a ncca director I think.
But as you are just interested in commercial I would make the journey to Alltec. When I did the course there was no pushing of a brand or machine other than a good HWE machine and a good Rotary. For myself I felt no pressure to buy anything but came away with lots of free stuff.....
Ideas marketing tips and a far better understanding of the commercial market.

Never been on a solutions course so couldn't comment but heard good things about ken.
Alltec courses are awesome you can't go wrong with them also Karra, Chris, Paul and the team are top class.
Cleansmart course also very good with Derek Bolton.

You wont regret the training Ken provides he been in the industry a long time and know his stuff.

Its easier to deal with the closest place for products and training  instead of having to travel miles.
