do you use a glide on your wand ? I bought a two jet westpack and tried it out today but without the glide ! Big mistake it would hardly move as the suction was so great, it stuck down to the floor, I reverted to my four jet westpac which has s greenglide aleady fitted

Stuart, Ive got the same wand. It's not the vac that makes it hard to move without a glide, it's the lip design - too thin, just won't slide over carpet, especially those with any pile depth.

I have two 12" four jet west pack wands fitted with green glides, I find they are much easier to push, although not as easy as the Scorpion, is this because the Storm has that much more power than the Storm ?

You can get 'lock on' when the vac power is so strong but usually only with TM's, especially when a glide is fitted. Lightweight wands used to be called 'scrub wands', designed to be used as not just a rinsing tool, but using the detergent through the wand in a scrubbing or agitating action. Some of us still use this method of 'wanding'. However when they started adding 'glides' the term 'scrub' wand began to disappear as the agitation was lost, and other means came more to the fore, such as rotaries and crb's, followed by a smoother glided wanding, simply for the extraction.
