At last experience cleaning ovens
« on: June 30, 2015, 07:13:22 pm »
Ive always considered it but have finally done it....
Agreed to help a cleaning company out on an EOT and i have to clean 4 ovens a day every day this week...am i mad, probably! Am i getting paid well, definately. Anyway they gave me a days training.
Ive done 2 days and hats off to you ovens guys, its hard work! Then again that was obvious.
Its strangely satisfying though seeing the end results..
Can now answer the 2 questions ive always asked...
Do you need to remove the doors? YES
Do you need a diptank? I dont think you do unless doing them day in day out.
I now have another service i  an offer though! If i choose too.

Sorry don't want to sound negative, you sound like you are really enjoying it, and that is the main thing  ;)

Don't forget to cover your fingers  as the sodium hydroxide will eat them otherwise.

You certainly picked the best week for it, as you've realised it's not the best job during a heatwave!!!!!

I agree about the results though, job satisfaction along with customers reactions is one of the best things about the job.

If you need a dip tank let me know.

Thanks Sam, or son of Sam, but Huddersfield is a bit too far to make it worthwhile, I can do an oven clean locally in the time it would take me to get there and back. But if you get any enquiries this way then more than happy to help out.

You could always move, we have a spare bedroom if you are interested ?
