Bacs

Never accepting Bacs transfers again. I keep finding customers that skip payments every now and then.

GoCardless all the way for me in future, even considering getting those already on Bacs to transfer to GoCardless as it's completely hassle free with the CleanerPlanner integration.

I agree gocardless is great (especially with CP integration) but BACS is free!

This is true Soupy, but when you have start spending more time checking your accounts than you do cleaning or doing other roles, the payment for GoCardless is well worth it.

i love BACS generally.i have a few customers who pay late but they get a text reminder after 14 days and that usually brings the stragglers in line.cash, cheque, standing order,BACS.makes no difference to me.as long as i get paid in the end im not bothered. :)

it takes 2 mins to check my bank balance on my smartphone once a day in the evening while ive got my laptop open on the debts page in cleaner planner.sometimes i check in the morning too but its, again a 2 min job!

best of all no charges. 8)

collecting now is usually an hour a week on a monday evening.thats a lot less than even a few years ago!love it!

it is a mess about, i think some customers think if i pay it late means they end up getting a free window clean, especially if you clean first week in they wont pay till end of month,  annoying, they should pay at the end of cleaning week

ive converted a lot of SAE customers who used to send cheques to BACS.i save on stamps and money is there in the bank to use straight away if needed.whats not to like?

i suppose as a one man band with 350 customers its ok but if you have 3 or 4 vans on the road with over a 1000 customers it would be better if they were all paying by  go cardless.
