« on: June 07, 2015, 09:25:45 pm »
ive read  that a few people use this on f s gutter cleans  by just squirting it on the brush, does it rinse off easily & is it safe for cons & window frames where it will get on the glass as well ?

I have never used it on fascias but it brings up dirty upvc windows very well with  a magic sponge or try a Brillo pad

Hi simonr, putting jif/cif cream cleanser  or vim powder on your brush is a complete waste of time for deep cleaning upvc  or pvc surfaces, the only way to deep clean these surfaces properly is to use a specific (upvc/pvc deep cleansing paste ) (to carry out these deep cleaning tasks properly)  and apply it manually with a non-scratch scouring pad, magic eraser pad, or microfiber  cleaning cloth to achieve required results.

I use it on gutters if there is a stain that's a bit hard to come off use with microfiber cloth never anything abrasive . Keep some in van especially this time of year when some muppet has had BBQ to close to window and got fat on glass, apply to glass on cloth rub in then clean window as normal

Sorry tadgh but you always chime in on these type of threads and write certain products off, yet plenty of guys here have used cif, and continue to use cif with great results, including myself.

I nearly replied to this earlier but couldn't be arsed. I completely agree with Chris though.

I use the cheapest cream cleaners I can source and they all work brilliantly to get the whites like new again.

yeah i use it too.ive always got a bottle in the van.great for getting them stubborn stains off UPVC frames/sills(rust/leaf marks etc)when doing a full UPVC clean.i just put a bit on a sponge scourer for lower frames and sills.ive also got "sticky stuff remover" from B &Q for sellotape marks etc

for f/s/g i use virosol in a backpack.
price higher/work harder!

I usually spray TFR along the gutters first , then add CIF to the brush and clean .

Will use Virosol from next week once delivered
