50 ft ok any longer and lose vac strength all depends on what vac system you have and how old machine is.

I use 50ft on the scorpion all day , most days ok its a tripple, but when I used a ninja with twin vacs in series it struggled
I can quite easily use 100ft or more with Scorpy, but its rare that I use anymore than 50ft

Steve, in series 50' 1.5 inch is fine.
In parralell I have used 50' 2" with 25' 1.5" and it did the job fine. Just an extra dry pass to be sure

The longest we have had on our spitfire 3.2 is 300 foot it was not as powerful as normal.
Most of the time we have a max of 150.
On the portable we had a few years ago had to take the machine up some stairs because we did not have enough hose but got it stuck against the wall because the stairs twisted could not go up or down.
Better to have extra hose if possible and leave it downstairs.

50ft 2" on my standard Airflex Pro no problem at all, sometimes go to 75 if it's a huge townhouse but an extra dry pass or two works fine. BUT if your not using a heater of some sort and cold water 75ft can leave the carpets damper than I would like. Going to upgrade the vacs soon so hopefully that will improve things.

Thanks for all the replies.
Can 25ft of 1.5" be used with 25ft 2"? With the right connector obviously.
