Ask Williamson Pumps. They are the agents.

info@williamsonpumps.co.uk

I would probably replace the whole pump if I was in your situation.

If the pump isn't very old, then the reason for the worn brushes could well be a fault in the armature. A slightly raised copper section on the commutator that the brushes run on will shave a little of the brush off each time it passes. A faulty winding will generate heat and this is the result - a segment lift.

If the pump has given good service then there are other parts that will be wearing out such as bearings. Replacing brushes alone will give the pump a little extra life time but its reliability will always be in doubt.
A pump is a very important piece of equipment that provides your income. Wasting time trying to 'flog a dead horse' will cost you money in the end.

New pumps aren't that expensive; £76.50 from www.daqua.co.uk with VAT and delivery included.
I see an Ebay supplier wants £20.00 + £1.00 for a set of 230 Volts Shurflo pump brushes. These won't be the same as 12v brushes, but if this is what they cost then I would definitely replace the pump .

We have had very good service from our Shurflos. Both pumps on my van are nearly 10 years old and still going strong. I've a spare new one on the shelf in the event that one of them fails. I bought that 3 years ago.

Surely a Sureflow pump will have bushes not bearing.

This is a problem one has with Vyair pumps I have 3 with burned out  brushes assembles/ fittings that melt with the heat. its a good pump but this seams a weak point. If its under 12 month they will replace but its the inconvenience of having to keep a spare pump or loose work.
