Rather than start another thread.... Ben you need to contact the admin to become a paid advertiser, I appreciate your wealth of knowledge and you've posted some very informative answers, but people who work for companies and actively promote them have to become paid sponsors .

I wasn't aware of needing to be a paid sponsor in order to post information, at no point have I mentioned the name of the company and if I have mentioned pricing of items it was with the intention of preventing anyone being ripped off.

I was providing information so that I could sit and read the forum learning what I can of your side of the fence as it were whilst giving something back.

Ben I'm sure CIU appreciate your contribution to the forum and agree you have'nt actively pushed your company but it's a thin line,  I guess you work for Rutland pumps and. You don't need to shout it from the roofs to let it be known  you supply products, To be honest I'm thinking of contacting your My Self  with regards buying a  FSC 

To put it another way you could shout it from the roofs if you did become a paid Sponser and benefit from marketing to all CIU members

I have not read any posts in which Ben has offered to sell any thing on here, however if Ben does sell how are we ment to know what he sells as he hasn't gave any info.

I am a bit puzzled by this.

I think IMO that we lost a few older members recently and Ben has came along with an abundance of info helping all of us out.

Mike is the boss on this side, and I suppose he says what's what but please, I offer all kinds of services and have had work off here, and sold clamps for wfp on used equipment.

I think Ben's info is invaluable and feel saddened by the fact he may not be able to post.

I know it's a bit of a touchy subject, I totally agree that Ben has shown himself to be a very valuable member with a wealth of information but like I said its a thin line and unfortunately people need to be made aware of the forum rules wth regards advertising .

Would it not be deemed that Ben is an individual, as he has joined and himself, and do we know if Ben is an engineer, that builds these machines with his eyes on the parts seeing what we don't and never will. I understand what your saying and if he was to start posting

Listing parts and prices
Labour charges
Deliveries
Servicing as posted above which we don't even know if he does

Then that would be different and yes I agree get him round to see mods

But, me you rob ed to say a few are a bit puzzled when it comes to parts braking on are equipment, only person I know on here that knows or posts anything about WAW nozzles is Chris and he is a very helpful member from which I have benefitted.

This side to the forum got a good boost when Ben joined, and I enjoy reading and partaking on this side of the forum, but some days go by and there's not even a post, and something like this issue would not be raised on the window cleaning side as there's to much activity going on with similar situations to this. IMO.

As you know by previous posts am not an internet person and don't bother with any other sites, so this is only forum am on and losing info isn't what I want to see, it's not good reading that old guys have gone but it's great news when guys like Ben have joined and have so much info to share.

A a forum user I would recommend  Rutland pumps  as a supplier of pressure washer parts…. the engineer ( I forgot his name) I spoke to is a wealth of knowledge.

Have to agree, this board maybe completely dead  without the input of Ben and others, I think ciu needs to think carefully about trying to force members into paid advertising when just offering advice with no agenda

Chris, as I took ur advise a while back, I got an call off the engineer guy that put my machine together, he phoned me and  I sent him a pic so he could explain to me what was what on my machine, I think his name was roger or reggy or maybe Ronnie or something like that, I will dig it out.

I can't see the problem, many companies pay to advertise on here but don't contribute with any advice etc and don't have a human presence to answer queries yet people who are willing to get involed and help have to pay ? I and many others have had jobs from this site does that mean we should pay?

But look at the positive side, I don't know what roll Ben has at Rutland pumps but if they pay to be a sponser they can  not just give advice they can actively push thier products, Ben could let us know when they have  special  offers on or have some bargains to sell....... its a win-win situation for everybody
