Nah, your ok, the trigger end is a bit Heath Robinson (2 jubilee clips holding  a 0.5 meter lance)
I had the end machined up 19mm Ali bar with a 1/4 bsp thread on it to screw various ends on and the shaft  slides into the end of the pole and clamped as you would a brush head
