Hi
Looking for some advice on window cleaning set up. I currently run an oven cleaning business but am looking to add window cleaning gradually and in years to come stop the ovens perhaps. Have spent a couple of days doing wfp and am now looking at what kit to buy but with limited experience of what's good and what's not. Looking to spend around £1k on set up as it will only be part time to start. Is that realistic? Also have limited space as the oven tank takes up a fair bit of room in my Berlingo. I believe I'm in a hard water area but been waiting a week now for a tds metre to be delivered to tell me exactly how bad it is. Ive looked at the trolly systems but feel I'd be better to go for a tank on the van and purify water at home. Saw this on the bay

Seems to have everything that I need but would appreciate views from you experienced people and any other tips you could give. Thanks in advance
Cheers Stuart
Hello Stuart,
That set up on eBay in your link, is not really what you want, here's what I would do...........
Start at the beginning. Do you have an RO ?? Do you need to RO ?? Check tds were you live.
Will need tds metre. £12
RO off eBay or here 2nd hand about £150 depending on how much water you want.
400 L slim Jim tank, about £50 - £100 used but is as good as new as long as it don't leak.
Pump new £80 used anything upto this price.
Controller £50 or just use something like a switch, £2 this will get u started.
Battery, £10- £110 depending on what you want
Di bottles, 11L regularly get sold on here or eBay for about £30
100m hose with reel. New £130, used about £50.
Hoses and fittings, anything upto £50 or as little as £20 depending on what you want
Bag of resin £70.
Poles, start off buying a few used ones as cheap as pos, then build your way upto gardiners if you want but say £120 should get you 2 or 3 used poles.
It's not hard mate, and you can add to it as you start getting work,
basic is best.
