Different kinds of WFP kit. Trolley/Tank/Backpack
« on: April 28, 2006, 10:53:52 pm »
Let me tell you about today and all the kinds of gear I used, and perhaps you'll tell me what you use and where.

Lazy start 9.30 am 125L in tank - 100L in barrels

Job 1 - Small block of ten flats - 2 floors. (Bottom half of upper floor patio doors with bars on)
Kit used 125L tank, 30m hose, all wfp work - unger pole (top 3 sections) , autobrush (75 litres used)

Job 2 - 30 yards from first job - 1st clean - 1st floor flat with balcony.
Kit used ladder to balcony - tied off - climb over and trad clean.
Rest of upper windows used backpack. (10 litres)

Job 3 - Downstairs flat from job 2 - 1st clean.
Trad. gear

Job4/5 - drive half a mile to two small bungalows with velux windows. (Parking 30 yards away) One bungalow with safety bars on windows.
Mixture of trad for barred windows and backpack for veluxes and patio doors. (15 litres)

Drive two miles home.

Long Lunch at home 1pm to 2pm

Drive three miles to do five houses on busy main road - difficult to park.

Job 6 detached. brown UPVC 7 tops 4 bottom 2 patios front door (park on drive)
Hose wfp (home made extending 3ft pole downstairs) scrim front door panels. (25 litres)

Drive 75 yards, Park up car get out trolley with 50L, move pump box (handle added) from rear car tank to trolley.

Job 7 detached upvc white. 8ft high solid gate locked - just do front and side.
wfp (10 litres) but trad for porch - 10ft high frosted glass panels under roof - use wfp pole with squeegee and applicator for upper panels and standard trad for lower.

Job 8 semi 1930's no bays upvc
wfp (15 litres) inc small conservatory, access thru garage with trolley.

Job 9 large detached
trolley (24 litres)

Go back to car, water in barrel down to (last litre or so)

Job 10
On way home small modern semi with porch and conservatory, - very narrow footpath so choice of hose or backpack. Fill backpack from tank (could've used last trolley barrel) (18 litres) carry through and have just enough water in pack for the job.

4.30 home!

It's a game of three halves!
