I got some spotter bottles from solutions, they even custom printed the labels with my logo.

But to say the are a great marketing tool is misleading, they will bring in work but on a ROI they were one of the worst things I did, even if you add a couple of quid onto the price to pay for them they still don't work well. You could just add that £2 onto the price and keep it then spend the accumulated amount on marketing that works better..

If you look at the maths of it rather than just think 'it's only a £1 that's nothing' you buy a 100 that £100 you spent, how much return would you get if you spent that £100 on adwords or leaflets or a village magazine?  I worked out that I would get more if I spent my money elsewhere.

Spotters do work for marketing but don't look at them with rose coloured glasses

Going back to a house today to sort out a red wine stain. They used my own label spotter and have got most out and then called me to finish it off. At least I'm not going to have to deal with the effects of vanish etc so seems like a win win situation to me

Dave you right about that, if they are going to attempt removal I would also prefer they use i spotter that I provided and if it does'nt work my name is right there in front of them.

I give my customers a 1ltr bottle of unbelievable better than any micro spotter and smells great. I used to use the others but i couldn't help thinking people thought it was water.

I get thru loads and find them very good for business.
A friend of mine relocated his carpet shop, it is an up market store, at the open evening I handed one to everyone free of charge
and got about a months worth of work from it in good quality houses with cleanish carpets.
He also sells them for me at £10 a bottle, he gives the odd one away.
We also sell them from our unit at £10+ vat each or 2 for £14+vat, they are one of our best sellers.
