I would say if it's run by locals it'll be a good'n.
The crap ones are the one like 'rural trader' which is a franchise.
If it looks professional, stay away from it ime.
That cost me a lot and gained nothing.
The actual village rag though, costs not a lot and gains well.
I don't know if its the people that run it tend to put your name out more 'cause you're 'keeping money in the village'. One of the trustees actually used that phrase to me a while back.
It's one of the reasons I'll stop for a pint at lunch in the pub, grab fish & chips every now & then at the chippy and get a coffee in the caff if it looks busy.
