Hi,
Just wanted to know can you encap with a standard
rotary and if so what is the method ( start to finish )
For a product like releaseit punch? for example.

Is it a domestic or a commercial?

Method would be:

Prevac
Apply product hot by sprayer. Slightly more than a traffic lane cleaner application.
Agitate with suitable brush, pad, bonnet
Set pile.

If its heavily soiled then you may want to go over with a clean, dry pad to absorb soiling. Sometimes in parallel with your initial pass can also help.
This method can work really well as the first pass helps to loosen the outer coating of soil allowing the product to get to the next layer near the fibre.

On a commercial I would only prespray the traffic lane and any spot and then use the pad to feather this out for a uniform finish.

Been cleaning office carpet this morning using encap and a Sprayborg.
Revive iT Confidence from Restormate produced the best results although we tried two other encap products on the same job with reasonable results.

Preparation is key so don't skimp on the vacuum cleaning and treat all nasty stains, blutak and gum.

On your photos the carpet seems a brighter blue I know this May be light .
But on a previous job this happened to me on a red carpet when I went back the next day it was the same a really bright red .

What cause this ? As hwe solutions don't

the job involves commercial low profile carpet tiles. After spraying and then brushing in as suggested, do you then vacuum up after a certain period of time ?

Neil, I think if you look at the second photo where the carpet is half done it appears that the soiling is actually hiding the actual colour of the carpet. The additional brightness may be due to the Hydrogen Peroxide although even ones without it have this effect.

I am thinking of buying one of these machine you have in your photos, are they that good, can you use it for domestic houses, and what about cleaning stairs ? or corners ?

A few mentions of the brighter blue in my photos.  I was only using a mobile phone camera with minimal adjustment capability. 

The desk shot shows a big difference in colour (see the desk as well).  For the photographers amongst you this is due to a couple of things: the first pic was taken at about 7.00 a.m. and the second a couple of hours later when the sun had moved around.  This affects exposure, and more importantly for colour, the white balance.  You can't deny the stain removal improvement though!  Having said that the other side by side pics were taken only minutes apart and genuinely shows "cleaning improvement".

See my comments about the Sprayborg on the other thread pasted today.  Ergonomically the machine has some niggles and it is another tool to have rather than a one stop commercial carpet cleaning solution.
