Ninja pump problem
« on: March 08, 2015, 01:34:37 pm »
The 400psi pump in my ninja is playing up. when you press the trigger, fine spays and pressurises ok but when you release it the pressure drops right off and then pulses, intermittently until you press trigger again. Also noticed a slight weep on the pump head.

would putting a seal kit in solve the problem or is it a new pump job, which I would like to avoid as they are about £500 plus fitting this pump is only around 18 moths old.

Also do you think the problem with the ninja pump is the motors aren't strong enough for the pressures when working at full pelt.

Does anyone know where I could source a new pump at a reasonable price.

Many thanks
John

You don't have to replace the whole pump just the head and by the time you've bought the three kits to repair the old one theres not that much difference in the cost, if its leaking the aluminium might have corroded so you need a new one anyway best to get one of the black heads from either alltec or ashbys as they have a tougher coating on.

Prices on vacs come down now around£160 fitted. Think he used to source everything through prochem and as we all know that comes at a premium.

Always had good service from John and Kev.
