I'm sure those so upset at Tosh's nasty nasty remarks

h

In all honesty, the remark was aimed at Jakey, from a previous discussion we had about ladder use and him being faster than a wpf on ladders.

And you know the grief directed towards me was from either members I've annoyed - like Lickers who always pops up in these instances (he's like a stalker ;D), or ladder users.

But in the words of Gloria Stienam, "The truth will set you free, but first it will 'pee' you off".

They're not arsed about some window cleaner who has knacked himself in a fall; not really.  It wouldn't be difficult to e-mail the reporter from the news item on page 1 of the thread, find out the details, and organise a whip-round for some flowers.  But no-one, including myself, has the motivation to do so.  We don't care enough.

And yes, I understand the irony of your post.

Where is the silly little boy?  ;D

Well said. I'm 26, off to New York in March. Bought a second hand wfp setup, no way I'd have bought new, holidays much better! Found wfp good, but still do 50% of work trad. Gets me more customers as many hate wfp. Means I can price higher for the trad service. Saves me loads of money on water, I only use about  750l a month ! A small bucket with trad gear is ridiculously cheap.[/

I am going to put my reputation on the line and say either;

A Shopping for New York
B Thinking about New York
C In New York

He's gone to Butlins I reckon  ;D

You do know that 29,000 children under the age of five (21 kids a minute) die every day?  So a window cleaner falls from his ladders and I'm expected to feel sad about that?  I bet none of you lot will lose any sleep over it unless he was related or a mate.

I don't go for all this public grief either; seems pointless to me.

And my comment was more directed at Jakey, the guy - with a young family - who reckons he's fast on ladders.  Well a bad fall is going to slow you down a bit.

Maybe instead of jumping all over me for insensitive comments, maybe you'd be of better use encouraging the ladder only boys to add another tool to their kit?

Tosh - I don't have any children.

Tosh - ladders are used all the time, mishaps do occur, I feell off myself a few years ago, thank God I was absolutely fine, somehow landed on my feet and hands with no injury what so ever, From upstairs window.

However I have not given up ladder work, instead, I am careful how I set them up. You can still be quick and safe at the same time.

Remember I use wfp as well, and do not take risks. If the ladder is appropriate, IMO it can be faster than using the pole on certain houses. The key word here is certain. Not all.

Trad is safe if you are sensible about placing the ladder.

So stop going on at me about it, or using insensitive comments like the above to moan at how I work.

Your a moderator, he's a fellow window cleaner, he may well read your comment and how do you think he will feel?

I'm all for banter, but not on issues like this. Plus you are supposed to be a moderator, it's surley best you don't keep nit picking at people? There's enough donuts on here as it is. Let alone when the moderator starts being one !

This is a window cleaning forum, a window cleaner gets hurt and he jokes about it,what a idiot.

Exactly.

And yes moderators shouldn't be involved in the banter, because they are supposed to be the moderator, not another one of us. There here to be the plum line not the exception....

This forum is getting a bit ridiculous, time to spend more time off it me thinks, all you get is people being incredibly opinionated,

E.g, when I said about trad being quicker on SOME houses, all of a sudden a marathon thread shows up with People banging on about personal issues etc etc,

Tosh shouldnt be involved in that sort of thread, rather should of warned us all earlier and locked it earlier if needs be. Instead he joined in, then locked it  ???

Off to the other window cleaning forum now  ;D ;D ;D ;D
