Gutter Hoover help 40ft+
« on: February 15, 2015, 03:28:37 pm »
I've picked up a large block of flats of 4 storeys (ground + 3 floors) for gutter hoovering. I need full set up inc camera.

Any ideas please on where to get the kit? I'm looking to do more of this sort of work, but I'm hesitant in spending 2/3k which is all I can find online

Thanks

Steve

Well your going to need carbon poles for this job, unless your name is popeye, I would also make sure there are two of you as well.

If you haven't gutter cleared this way before then I don't reccomend you start now with 4 storey flats - sub it out, get a decent budget system and experience

When you say you have picked it up. Have you put in a price?

That's called blagging it to get the work in!! I've done loads of domestic with a system from the Norfolk crew (cheap Clarke system with Ali poles) but this is the first job in 4 years that I've got for that sort of height. The reason I stated in the first place was in the hope of getting some of that sort of work.

I've now got the work and interested n doing more but I've only done up to 25ft so far. I'm now trying to invest so that I can do up to 60ft work. At the time of writing my website I didn't know what was going to take and what wasn't and u had access to somebody else's onnipole system at the time

I have put in in a healthy day rate to do them, but I think it should only be a 5/6 hr job

Where can I get a setup for £1500? Looking at grippatank/omnipole/sky pole-they're all mega bucks.

Make it with Skyvac pole set and that nilfisk twin and you will still have plenty of change left over for camera setup 😄👍

Then all you need are carbon poles, your current vac should be fine.

Ps only teasing ref the web  ;)

So he's got a new machine there, that looks perfect, and maybe the poles off modular sl40 would make life easier.

Where's best place for a camera set up. And approx cost.

That would be a full set up, ready to go, I need to invest in this also hence the question.

That's pretty much all in for £1500 new.

Hi Steve

Had a booklet come through from Ionic's the other day, it had a leaflet inside for a skyvac set up, the company is Spinaclean Ltd, they have a special offer if you are an Ionic's customer, as follows:

9 metre skyvac commercial gutter cleaning system with colour recordable camera - £1500.00 + VAT

Normally £1800.00 + VAT

Or you can check out the website if your not an Ionic's custy - www.spinaclean.com

I use a BT baby monitor and viewer from Argos for looking into the gutters.
£99 all in.
Works great.
Doesnt record but hey.
