Advertising with yell.com ??
« on: February 13, 2015, 06:06:38 pm »
Who uses yell and what response do ya get I've had a meeting with a guy and it's around £750 per year more if you want to be no 1
Now as I see it if I pay £750 just over £60 per month then I need a £15 house to come on board every week to cover the cost of it
But that same £750 given to a canvasser would return approx £1000to£1500 worth of work so I know what way I'm thinking off going
Any thoughts on the matter welcome marc

I am yet to hear of any one who recommends yells paying listings.
Some one I use to sub work from spent well over a grand a year with them for there heavy weight listing he got very little from it.
I don't see why you would want to pay a premium to be 3rd or 4th down the list.

When you want to buy anything.
Do anything.
Know anything.

What do you do?

Probably...Google it.
Like the rest of the world, bud.

Spend your money on a good site. Ask Nat.
And spend the surplus on Adwords for a few months.

It's just the internet. Try not to worry.

The more i think about it the more i won't be going with yell at around £750 I said in my first post that £750 would bring in £1000-£1500 of work but that is wrong if it was 2x it would be half the £750 not double it but even at £375 worth x10 cleans = £3750 for the year as i clean every 5weeks so that investment of £750 returns me a profit of £3000 over the year then the following years £3750 ,
Even if you get a good repose from yell doesn't mean your going to turn all the calls into jobs so I will stick with the free lineage for the time being

Use the free listing. All those promises of getting you No1 spot on Google waste of time.
Plus they pester you to death!!!!

There's no doubt, Yell is crap.
Their customer service is pathetic and the leads they generate are very low quality.

I have a top spot on yell.com in my area and it paid for itself in around 2 months last year .
money well spent in my opinion .

I will be renewing it this year also .
just had a local B&Q to do £275 job from yell.com
