Neat Blackcurrant Cordial?
« on: February 02, 2015, 08:43:18 am »
 ???

Good morning.

I have a customer (a pub) who has several carpet stains from neat blackcurrant cordial being spilt.  The carpet is a light oatmeal colour quite a think heavy pile and is a wool carpet.

Attempts of using hot water and an extraction machine or supermarket shelf stain removers (used by customer) have only slightly faded the stain.

Can anybody recommend a product or method which would remove these stains.

The chances of any improvement after this point without a delicate balance between some potentially harsh chemicals and the knowledge not to wreck the carpet is unlikely.

It is probably best to contract in a professional carpet cleaner with knowledge of stain removal. unless you have attended a stain removal course yourself. If you do choose to tackle the problem yourself the first thing to do is rinse the area thoroughly with plain water and lots!! of defoamer in the extraction tank as the products they will have tried will probably produce a lot of foam.
