Gutter Cleaning
« on: January 16, 2015, 07:02:06 pm »
Hi everyone,

Just noticed that Amazon is selling the nilfisk multi 30t vacuum for £99.99 inc free delivery.
Cheapest price around I think for those who are on a tight budget and want to use this vac as a gutter vac

Well Well just checked if Amazons cheap price on the Nilfisk multi 30t vac was still running.
Looks like it was only a 2 day reduction, back up to £114.99.
Hope some of you got the vac at the £99.99
Andrew.

Take a look at grippatank.co.uk, they have complete kits.
Depends on what your budget is.
Lots of guys go for the carbon fibre poles if you have the money from grippa, much lighter than aluminium poles.
Aluminium poles are available from guttercleaningsystems.co.uk and they have complete kits aswell.
There are many other suppliers if you put gutter cleaning equipment in your search engine.
Hope this will get you started I am sure others will add there thoughts in due course. ;) ;)

Also take a look at guttersucker.co.uk complete system about £1800 with camera!!

Some nice kit. Cheapest set up with poles would be about £250 from 1400 watt vacumn 20 feet of poles. Is this enough to get started or would I be better off spending a bit more ?

You will need to spend a lot more than £250 and a 1400watt vac would not have enough suck!
How many times a week do you think you would be cleaning out gutters.

Yes, the only thing I would change is the pole size go for the 52mm pole and not the smaller 44mm ones, everyone mainly uses the larger 52mm poles.
I'd give them a call and see what sort of deal they will do for you and mention clean it up as that carries a bit of weight by the way of a discount.

Andrew.

I would'nt say the Omni vac was particually "great", they look very similar to a generic chinese vac but fitted with a larger inlet port. I have one with a burnt out motor sat in the unit. You need a genuine 3kw with efficient vacuum motors. I'm using a very tired vac thats almost 20 years old but still does a good job. I run carbon fishing poles but I have a set of alloy poles as spare just in case some donk in a chelsea tractor runs them over.
Buy the 2" carbon tubes, a good vacuum, and decent generator - spend wisely and just the once
