« on: January 19, 2015, 07:44:38 am »
so its here!minus temperatures during working hours! ;D

so what extra things do you do?and what do you do differently?if any?

heres what i do.

ice melt grit and sweeping brush in van for certain pathways etc

extra flask of hot water for thawing out jets if they freeze.

trad/scrim more doors/entrances

i try and keep water flowing as much as possible to prevent hoses freezing on the ground

heater knackered so gonna have to struggle on with cold water over the next few days! ;D
price higher/work harder!

Start about 9.30 to 10.30 depending just how cold it is - by 10 ish sun been up a few hours so warm enough to work  .. minus 1 here at moment so not too bad and still workable if you wanted to as glass still warm as houses heated - odd conny may freeze if not heated (tight wad customers)

Finish about 3 to 3.30 before drops below freezing again - skip lunch break if necessary

I wont work in anything under zero

Turn immersions on for hot water

Stop wfp' get front doors or windows where the water will run over a path and freeze and trad them, carry rock salt and apply at customers request

Just a big health centre to clen today so will just do it this afternoon instead of this morning. Trad the main entrance doors instead of poling them. -2 here now but feels a lot warmer imo.
