I want to cry!
« on: April 07, 2006, 04:34:43 pm »
 :'(

I've just found someone who cleans in my area called Angels.  I wanted to use Ali's Angels.  Back to the drawing board.  I don't know how I didn't spot them before.  I'm so gutted and I could kick myself.

I know its not the same, but I want to stand out and not be confused with someone else.

What do you think about COME N CLEAN?

I've checked, double checked and triple checked and there' s no-one called this.

Be gentle with me, I'm feeling very fragile.

Thanks
Ali

Hmm....sorry to hear your bad news about the name.  I'm not really liking "Come n clean" though.

I am a great believer in saying what you do so

******* Cleaners
Commercial     Industrial     Residential

is more to my liking.

I dunno.  I think people would remember something quirky better.  Every other business is 'Something' Cleaning Services.  I think something different stands out more.

I'm just guessing though.  What do you think?

Come n clean is what i'll be doing, so I think the name does say what we do.  But I'm not sure either.

Thankfully Ali, we're not all the same & our opinions differ.  You really have to like it so go with your gut instinct.   When you have a 10 million£ contract, will the name still sound suitable?   What impression does the chosen name give?  Perhaps some market research on names?
Just some ideas.

Good Luck

Lizzy

I also dont think thats a good name, it sounds a bit like a title for a porno film (not that i would know..cough) How about  "Newshine" "Aliclean" "Alishine" picture yourself picking up the phone when it rings and answering "Good morning...**********How can i help you? make it something that rolls off the tongue and easy to remember. ;)

There's already a Maid to Measure Ltd.   :(

I'm not really aiming for commercial work, just domestic and whatever office cleans I stumble upon.  I want something that says I'm small (but not too small), so that the customer knows they'll get the personal touch.

I've even been on the USA Yellow Pages website and had a look for some ideas.

There aren't many companies with these words in their names.  Any ideas?

Fine
Harmony
Maison
Merit
Pure (millions of beauty salons though)

What about 'A Cleaning Co' you can't get much clearer than that and As my initial - I know - Naff!

I don't think it would fit in with the office cleaning side of it, but thanks, I really appreciate everyone helping me.

I'm now thinking of just 'Clean' with a sparkle thingy on it (just something plain and contemporary - logo and name in one) :-\

Its a shame they haven't got a smiley with steam coming out of its ears.  My brains in overload again (doesn't take much though).

I thought our name was unique - Arleys Angels

We are on Arley Road

Just down the road from Arley Hall (They filmed Steve's Wedding to Karen there on Coronation St)

'Charlies Angels' - we are just as pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now try typing Arleys Angels into google, without the UK select.

A different type of 'scrubber' we feel!

Regards

I also struggled with the company name - my wife would not let me use 'Muck off' for my pressure washing business, I don't know why.
power2clean...patios...driveways...block paving...decking...garden furniture...power2clean...Cumbria.

:)Hi, there's a cleaning company here called 'The Cat's Whiskers'.  There are so many different names out there and you can guarantee that just when you think you've had a brainwave, you'll research it and find loads of the same! I just wondered thatif there's a cleaning co that's called 'The Cat's Whiskers' perhaps I could call mine 'The Dog's B*ll*cks'!!!!!!!  ;D ;D ;D (don't think I'd get many customers from that though, do you!!??)

Here's a few for you to chew on! Little Angel/s, Bright Sparks, done & dusted, A+

good luck!

Thanks Juliet.

I went with 'Cleen' in the end.  Hasn't got quite the same ring to it as 'The dogs b@!!@cks though  :D

As far as I know there's no-one out there called just Cleen, checked everywhere imaginable! But you never know  :-\

I'll be jumping off a cliff if there is  >:(

Names are always the hardest thing to come up with, you think for ages and finally come up with a good idea before finding out that there are already thousands of companies with the same name. One thing you have to remember though is that you are stuck with the name for the lifetime of your business so make it a good one.
