Hi all
What do you reckon to the doff system. I know Darren has one been looking on the site.

It looks a good bit of kit and seems to have a lot of applications. Particularly like the idea of the roof cleaning and render/cladding cleaning.

I already dabble at these but don't feel properly equipped.

But can't help thinking a 8lpm pressure washer hooked onto a hotbox will do the same thing or am I missing something.

I've bought a 30lpm cold , diesel, Zeta  pressure washer and I will be using a 15lt hotbox with a 12lpm honda pressure washer, or I may even connect it to the zeta under low pressure, if that will work.

Heat will not be any better for render cleaning. As far as I can see, a doff will only be better than a hotbox for cleaning heritage stuff where it is required by the customer.

I hired a thermatech as they are only based around 10 miles away from me and carried out some tests. These machines are great, but I feel that for the type of work that I carry out a higher flow rate cold pressure washer was the better investment for my company.

There are some 'Falch guys' on here too, so I looked into these, but a trailer system would not be suitable for the majority of jobs I get in.


My new set up for 2015 I feel will be best for my line of work.

I should be getting it Wednesday and I bought a 21 inch mossmatic, so they should work well together.
I'm just working out the layout of the van, I may need a big change up to maximise the space.

Cheers richy , I will do similar I already own several cold pressure washers. None the power of your zeta but 16lpm has always been sufficient for most of my work.

Which hotbox did you buy ?

i have two 21lpm machines aswell and a smaller one so i will be selling one of the 21lpm ones soon.

you have a lack of work, yet you are thinking of buying a doff system - comment I think you are a crazy man

Buying a Machine WILL NOT get you any more work.

You need to understand how you can market your own business - this is the only way you will get more work.

We have 2 Doff machines - my guys use these mostly.

1 ZETA (been getting repaired for ages and its under 1 year old  )

1 FALCH T3H - not bad for some jobs - especially for cleaning car parks etc

Various other machines - used for different works.
