Hi , i have an ibc and ro in the shed , the shed is insulated with foil backed bubble wrap but i want to put a heater in for frost protection.

would you go for tubular heater or a fan heater ?

I'd say tubular as close to the ro as poss in the winter, as for the ibc, wrap it in insulation or put an old duvet over it, fan heater will cost a lot to run!

Or use a mini Oil filled radiator

I use a 5ft tubular near the ro and oil filled radiator aswell

before I had luxury of keeping van and static system in my garage I tried various heaters and found these to be the best

dunno about running costs but wasn't a days takings being lost thru not being able to work due to frozen system

I don't think the ibc will freeze anyway was just worried about the ro    ......im gonna go tube heater what wattage do you recommend , its only a 6x4 shed .

I built a cabinet for my 4040 and keep it at 10 degrees C with a 120 watt tube heater and a frostat.

I've got a 120w tubular heater from Argos, works really well, keeps my system just above zero, just put it close to the ro
