Got one once (after a rainy spell and I had rescheduled accordingly) ... 'It's too dry!'

I had a customer ask me to text her when I'm coming nowadays as her cat once cut herself to shreds on some glass vases  she knocked over whilst trapped in the porch when I waved my wf-pole around the glass. I seen the cat going mental so I stopped cleanng and informed the owner. The cat runs out of the catflap and into the garden nowadays ;D

Not that unusual but had one cancel several weeks ago because it's winter.  To compound it, there was no advance warning so it cost me time and money too.

Gate key in envelope ready to return when I'm over that way next.

I had a similar one once in a letter he wrote 'we don't really like your dog' - my jack russell who sits in the van! i was going to write back but now i just let him out for a run around - p up their rosebush when I'm in the road! the only kind of revenge I've ever sought but it does make me smile  :)

Does anyone reckon that ridiculous sensational reporting of upcoming weather in the news/media is having an effect on more cancellations due what the weather gives?

The latest absurd term is this so called "weather bomb"  ::)roll
I've been working today and its been anything but a bomb, perhaps a damp squib at worst lol

I had a call today. Done the job every six weeks since 2009. They were my 24th customer, £45 a clean, large house in expensive area. Both have decent jobs and reason for cancelling "partly money"? I didn't ask what the other part was.
Anyhow, thanked him for the business in the past and said goodbye.
Literally, within a minute the phone goes and it's a new customer. Admittedly, this one is only £14 a clean but it's next to others I do, small semi, no third floor awkward windows and I'm happy.

I had one cancel "as you don't bother to come back and collect I no longer require your services - give me your bank details and I will pay the two cleans owed online"  ???

Not today - I'm not well
Not today I've been in hospital you know
Not today it's going to rain
Not today I'm tired
Not today - all this rain has cleaned them
I noticed my bedroom ceiling has a damp stain on it - been accused of making ceilings damp twice now ???
What do you put in your water? You've stuck all my windows shut!
You've stained my patio
You've made my windows steam up
Not today - I haven't got time.

I'm sure I've had a few more
Then there's the ones who don't pay - but that's another topic.

I think its best to leave them, you always come when the dog groomer is here.
