It's not fixed to anything as is just a free standing ladder with an ankalad fitted that fold in flat to the stiles when not in use. Also use a microlite standoff resting on the roof makes access much easier and safer to do. That's what I use bps 12 rung triple combi as normal ladders for roofline work etc when I need to use ladders.

The rungs are narrower than the homebase types, but they're too flimsy if you have any weight about you.

what's your ladder fixed to at ground level. Looking to do the same.

I have always used a youngman trade 200 double ten rung , think its a shade over 3m

And i have a longer set of doubles for the odd time i need to gutter clean etc  , however i still do a bit traditionally so its better to have a small light ladder

If i was 100% wfp id just have a big set

If you are doing any trad work , get a smaller ladder as you can get away with and your body will thank you , mine weighs under 10 kg
